Who doesn’t love fireworks? I don’t know anyone that won’t watch a good fireworks show! There is just something majestic about them. The explosions of color, twinkling against the night sky, leaving trails of sparks and smoke to drift in the sky. Even the occasional “Boom!” of the white flashes that signal not tendrils of twinkling sparks, but just simple loud noise!!!!
If you go to a night-time baseball game on the 3rd or 4th of July, you can count on fireworks. If your team wins the World Series or Super Bowl, you can be sure that fireworks will soon be filling the sky to the cheers of delirious fans. As I said, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like fireworks!
On Saturday, we drove down to the south bay to spend some time with our oldest son and his family. What a delightful day! I always take my camera to get pictures of them and our grandkids, and I got some good ones that are going into our family album. At the bottom of their stairs outside was a plant with “flowers” that reminded me of fireworks milliseconds after they have exploded and started to spread out across the black canvas backdrop of the night sky. Doesn’t it remind you of fireworks?
